Complex Transitions. Zero-Disruption Outcomes.
Helping government agencies and enterprise organisations go live with confidence — and sustain performance at scale.
Our Mission
To close the gap between how service management and operational processes are designed — and how they actually work in practice. Every go-live should be a non-event. We make that possible.
Practitioner Expertise. Real-World Results.
Jink Solutions is led by John Wanis — a senior operational readiness and transition leader with 25+ years delivering large-scale, high-risk programs across government and critical infrastructure. John holds a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) qualification and a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney.
John has held leadership roles across three Australian state transport agencies — Queensland Smart Ticketing, NSW Opal, and Victoria’s myki — directing transitions, standing up operations, and driving service management capability at scale. His practice now extends to organisational change management, independent program assurance, and SIAM strategy — covering the full lifecycle from planning through to sustained operations.
When you engage Jink Solutions, you work directly with John throughout — no handoffs to junior staff, no bait-and-switch after the proposal is signed.
- Practitioner-led — we’ve operated these environments, not just advised on them
- ITIL 4 aligned, pragmatically adapted to your context and constraints
- Outcome-focused: go-lives that land cleanly, operations that sustain
- Direct access to the principal consultant from first brief to final deliverable
- Fixed-scope engagements available — clear outputs, no open-ended retainers
Senior expertise across the board. One point of contact.
John leads every client engagement personally — from the first brief through to final deliverable. Behind that direct relationship is a carefully assembled bench of senior associates: practitioners with deep hands-on backgrounds in service management, organisational change, technical transition, and program assurance.
Associates are engaged selectively — matched to the specific demands of each program, not staffed from a roster. What that means for you: senior-calibre expertise across every workstream, without the overhead of a large firm or the risk of a single-person practice.

Sectors We Serve
Our practice is built on deep experience in environments where operational failure carries real consequences — for citizens, passengers, and critical service users.
Government Agencies
Federal, state, and local government technology programs — from policy-driven digital transformation to agency-wide service management uplift.
Transport & Ticketing
Large-scale transit technology — smart ticketing, fare payment systems, and multi-modal operations — where go-live failure affects millions of daily users.
Critical Infrastructure
Utilities, energy, and essential services where operational continuity is non-negotiable and vendor complexity demands disciplined transition governance.
Enterprise & Regulated Industries
Private sector organisations in financial services, health, and logistics navigating large ERP, ITSM, or outsourcing transitions with stringent compliance requirements.
The Jink Solutions Difference
We’ve operated these environments — not just advised on them. That practitioner perspective is the foundation of everything we do.
Proven at Scale
From Victoria’s myki to Queensland’s Smart Ticketing to NSW Opal — we’ve delivered in environments where failure isn’t an option, serving millions of users daily.
ITIL-Aligned, Pragmatically Applied
We use ITIL 4 as a foundation but adapt every recommendation to what will actually work in your organisation — no textbook implementations, no one-size-fits-all approaches.
Direct Access, High Accountability
You engage John Wanis and you work with John Wanis throughout — from initial brief to final deliverable. No handoffs to junior staff once the SOW is signed.
Fixed-Scope Products Available
Key services — including Gateway Reviews and Service Management Assessments — are available as fixed-scope, fixed-fee engagements: defined outputs, defined timelines, no scope creep.
How We Work
Assess
Structured discovery — stakeholder interviews, process review, tooling analysis — to understand the actual state, not the assumed one.
Diagnose
Root-cause analysis across people, process, and technology. We map gaps and prioritise what matters most for go-live or BAU stability.
Design
A clear, actionable roadmap — operating models, governance frameworks, service management playbooks — tailored to your environment.
Deliver & Embed
Implementation and embedding alongside your teams — ensuring processes are adopted because they help, not just mandated on paper.
How We Engage
Choose the engagement model that fits your situation. Most clients begin with a fixed-scope assessment before moving to embedded advisory.
Assessment & Advisory Review
A defined-scope engagement with clear outputs — findings report, improvement roadmap, or assurance review — delivered within a set timeframe and budget.
Ideal for: Service management assessments, Gateway Reviews, Program Health Checks, SIAM readiness assessments.
Program-Embedded Advisory
John works directly within your program team for the duration of a transition or go-live cycle — providing day-to-day operational leadership and assurance throughout.
Ideal for: Operational readiness delivery, transition management, large-scale go-live programs.
Ongoing Strategic Advisory
A retained advisory arrangement providing access to John on an ongoing basis — for organisations that need a trusted senior voice across multiple workstreams or a sustained service management uplift.
Ideal for: Executive advisory, vendor governance, post-transition sustainment.
